Wow, what a day.  It’s been crazy, and I’m sure any of my readers have gone to be, or at least have lost interest for the day.  But let me tell you….I woke up this morning, thinking to myself that it was great to have NO alarm……until I went downstairs and realized that there was a FLASH MOB that I was supposed to be apart of (at least on some level) and jumped to drag the kids out of bed (dressed or not) so we could witness the goings on of the studio.

When I got in my car, I had 6 miles left to get gas, so at this point, it’s DEFCON 5 for me to get to the gas station.

The girls were hungry, so I had to coast by Bagels and Brew to let them get food while I high tailed it to the gas station before I had to call AAA.

Thankfully I made it in tact, kids happy with Bagels and me happy with coffee.

When I got there, we had to park in a remote location so as to not make a huge scene and we walked a few minutes down to the beach.

As it turned out, I didn’t really need to be there, so I took advantage of the moments (and the dancers) and started staging a few shots.  I just love our dancers and am so proud of their camaraderie and support of each other.  I was trying to do a few Pointe dancers shots and since I don’t have the technique, so I asked one of the girls to check my dancers.  She walked in, checked their hips, head, shoulders and toes….and let me take the shot.  She’s in 6th grade……  it was one of the great moments of  my day!

I was feeling tired from last nights party.  It was a last-minute add to my day, but totally worthwhile!!  I struggled to make the choice to go to the party, but realized, “someone is offering me to shoot at a party and get PAID!!”   So I did it!!  Where else can you do what you LOVE and get paid for it???

I loved the party.  There was so much family there, it was amazing to witness.  But when I got home, I was feeling my schedule creeping up on me.

This morning when I went to the beach, I was practically hobbling from stiff joints!!  (WHEN did I get so old???)

So needless to say, I was relying on the expertise of the dancers to help me out.  If I barely had energy to be there, I hardly had the ability to check their technique or even offer them poses to work with.

So off they went.

In the end, we ended up with some  great stuff and even some fun group shots!!  I am reminded daily how wonderful these kids are!!!

When I came home,  I could barely keep my eyes open.  I think the last few days crept up on me and I couldn’t stand it any more.  So, I went to sleep for a few hours (or so….)  Have you ever just laid in bed and heard everything but didn’t move???  Ya…that was me!!!

I finally woke up, but felt thankful I had the time to lay my head.

But after that, i realized I hadn’t paid my Kohls bill, so promptly grabbed the kids; paid the bill and proceeded to purchase more than the bill was paid.  CRAZY things happen when you are tired!!!

After that the family came over for dinner and we hung some mirrors in the garage, chatted and soon off they went!!!

It’s been a super busy weekend, but one filled with much heart-felt gratification!!!  I know I am busy, but there are very few things in my day that don’t make me happy on some level!!!

I’m  just about ready for bed, but much has been taken care of.  I am anxious to get some of my pictures posted on Facebook, but I really need to think if I need to take tonite as a mental break.  I’ve had some great dancers this weekend!!

I guess we will have to see where my brain takes me!!! One never knows…….
SQUIRREL!!!

Happy Sunday!
