Totally weird day! I got everything done that I didn’t have on my ‘immediate’ list. Sometimes your day is guided by events. Today was that day! Very busy, yet not a ‘focused-productive’ day like I was hoping for!
This morning I was doing my best to get comfortable. My low back was killing me. Every which way I turned, I was in serious pain!! It was awful. When I got up, I realized that the very hard seat I have been using at my desk is literally ruining my back. I had to go out and get a new one before I could even think about sitting at my desk.
My daughter stayed home sick for the 6th day in a row. Her fever was broke, but she wasn’t going anywhere! I totally forgot to call her in sick. Yikes. Hopefully the truant officer doesn’t come to get us!
I had to do my morning reading group at school first. After that I looked for a chair. It amazes me that an office supply store doesn’t have more than one choice for what I need! I called number of stores with very little luck. Finally I found one. On my way to the store, I returned a call that took about 40 minutes. As I hate when people are on their phone in stores, I sat in my car until the conversation was done.
It took me minutes to get my chair and come home. But once home I had to put the darned thing together. After that, I realized it was early day out and I had to color my hair before my other daughter got home, so I scurried to get that done. Once my other daughter got home we were off to dance. I had to run home after I dropped her off and came back to grab her.
For my husbands birthday I did my best to tidy the house with the girls. As soon as he got home, we were going to head to dinner, but I had to get my Newspaper props from Office Max, so I ran there and grabbed them, then came home and picked up the family. We went to dinner and had a nice time. After we came home I got changed and went to Hip Hop class. And now I am home.
So as you can see, not a minute to spare in the day. I have seen my husband on his birthday for all of 1 hour and he is likely asleep upstairs as I type. I’m exhausted.
I find many of my days go like this.
As a result, I barely got to sit in my new chair, but it was long enough to realize that it was a good purchase. Hopefully tonight’s sleep will be better than last night!
Never take ergonomics for granted!
Happy Wednesday
