Today ore costumes filtered in. Aspen’s team tried on the new creations and donned their makeup to get ready for competition. You can almost feel the energy as if getting in a car and starting the engine. All you have to do is put it in gear and go!
The girls will be wearing makeup for one of their numbers so we practiced applying the ghoulish makeup. With tissue paper adhered as decaying skin, and cracks drawn on their faces, they were ready to go.
Part of me is excited, while another part isn’t quite ready.
But there is no turning back now. We are headed straight into the abyss of competition season.
It is only a few months long; but it is a lot of work with a significant amount of travel.
I can’t wait to see what these months bring. The girls have both been working hard and I am really proud. I don’t care what awards they get. I know they have never missed a practice (well maybe one) and I know their dedication is there! In my book, they both get Platinum!
