Fancy Dancing

I have done more fancy dancing in the last 24 hours then I have in a long time!!!  It’s amazing how one sick child can rock your world!!!

Thankfully, I have a bit of a support system to call in; but coordinating…..OY VEY!!!

Tonite is Aspen’s dance teacher’s performance.  Everyone from the studio is going.  I declined going with the group, because I promised Aspen that I would take her the next time her teacher danced.  And as Aspen was going, I invited a few other kids!

Well, 2 out of the 3 kids are sick and I have spent the morning coordinating a new plan.

I’ve been on the phone with 3 moms going back and forth on the days events.  I had to text a bunch of moms and teachers this morning that Aspen wouldn’t be at dance, because she is part of a production AND a team!

It’s amazing how many lives are affected when one kid goes down on a team.  But it does.

We decided to cancel our Superbowl party so as to not pass on the germs to our beloved family and friends.

And I gotta admit; having a day of “nothing planned” is going to be really nice.  I’m actually looking forward to it.

It will be weird not having everyone here for the first time in many MANY years; but as the kids schedules overtake our lives, I am perfectly okay with it this year.

We usually add Chris’ birthday in the mix since it’s always the week of Superbowl.  But we will have to postpone his birthday until the actual day!

I can’t believe how much I have had to juggle in the last few days.  To wipe the slate clean was an easy one.
