So this weekend I got the opportunity to shoot Dance team pictures.
It’s not my normal gig; but I was very excited to do it.
I am around these kids all the time and now to have the chance to document their moment in time with their costumes and their teams.
It was a bit out of my comfort zone but in pulled together everything I had to make it happen.
First challenge was the backdrop. I don’t have anything wide enough for large groups. And do you know how hard it is to find a large enough backdrop to accommodate a large group? Well, let me tell you…..
A little more planning would have been a nice thing!
In the end I was able to piece something together and I am pleased with the results.
The kids came in and were awesome! I had a great time with every last team! The staff was amazing too. Teachers came in and pinch hitted for me; and even the hubby came to show his support!!
It was such a nice day…..
Well….. There was that incident when the backdrop with 13.5 feet of paper fell on some cute little kids…….
But as they knew me; it was a moment that was quickly swept under the carpet! And they handled it like champs!
Have you ever replayed something over in your mind again and again from your day? Well – that was my moment!
Thankfully, it came out okay and the pictures look great!
I think back to Richard from Pro Photo telling me do something outside of my comfort zone every day……
I did.
And I am happy.
Happy Monday
