I am blogging late in the day.  I have to leave in 15 minutes, so I need to make this fast!

It’s New Years Eve.  I haven’t been paying attention; I thought it was tomorrow.  Again, one more thing creeping up on me because I’m not paying attention.  I’m not even sure what day of the week it is.  Such is the life of a person on vacation!

I’m enjoying the time off; but I’m not totally feeling rested.  There is always so much to be done.  Today started out mellow; but when I came across a gift of a bag of lemons,  my mind truly went crazy!!!   I swear, I was just talking about lemon bars last night and I said, “I don’t think lemons are in season this time of year!”  Lo and behold, an unfortunate mix of events (A playdate that got changed at the last-minute) turned out to be a pot of gold to me!!

Is it fate?  Manifest destiny?  Did the lemons know I needed them and called to me on some alternate dimension???  I swear it’s weird the way things turn out!  I have been to my friend’s house a million times over the years and NOT ONCE did I ever see the lemon tree in front of her house!!

Now, I know I’m making a big deal about lemons; but the point is this…. Sometimes things happen in life and it’s not an accident!!!

Have you ever had someone find you after years of thinking about them and wondering where they are?  Did you ever run into someone while on vacation?  Did you ever think about someone and they call you out of the blue???

Yep….Lemons!!!

Whatever the reason, took those lemons and made lemonade!  ……. and Lemon Curd, and Lemon Bars, and Lemon Juice…….  And I’m taking some of it to a party tonite.

I can’t question it.  It is what it is.  It just happened to work out in my favor!  (and all the partakers in the feast).
