It’s getting harder and harder to keep up. Today  was ‘GO’ from  the second I jumped out of bed!

It was an amazing day full of fun friends and talent!

I found out that one of my blogs may have hit people on a wrong note. It wasn’t my intention. And I told myself I would walk away, because sometimes when you revisit something you do more damage than good. But I can’t go to bed with a heavy heart, so here goes….

When I spoke about the volunteers for the Nutcracker; it seems my true message didn’t come across. And those who have pitched in, felt like I was dissing them a bit. And that hurt my heart.

There have been SOOOOOO many volunteers. The show couldn’t happen without it.

My focus was more on when people volunteer, that some feel it’s okay to disappear. And my blog wasn’t really directed at the Nutcracker volunteers; but that day when I saw no one there, it reminded me how some people really put themselves out there and others retreat in the face of it.

And I was more directing that towards my elementary school experience with my girls than anything else. But as I started – and ended the blog with the Nutcracker experience, it seems that my message was not delivered properly.

I’m not one to start a fight on Facebook – or my blog! I’m not political and I don’t use my blog as a political stance. So if I offended anyone, I apologize.

If you see a debate, I will be the first to run from the scene. I can’t be bothered with conflict.

I was more trying to commend the volunteers who step forward to make things happen.

I saw the dress rehearsal for the show tonite and the costumes were gorgeous!! All the efforts of all the volunteers was very apparent!!! I photographed many and I dare say the pictures look amazing because of the talent and enhanced because of the costumes!

I’m so excited for the show. I can’t believe all the season’s efforts are narrowed down to one day!!! But they are!!

I was outside most of the night; taking pictures of the cast members. So I still have yet to be surprised by the actual performance. But I know that it will all be worthwhile and the crowd will be dazzled by the magic of the Nutcracker!

And I will be thrilled to capture every moment on ‘film’.
